Raised in the small mountain town of Paradise, California Olivia is an artist working in photography, video art, and design. Olivia uses photography and moving image to test the boundaries of reality. She creates magical dream-like imagery working in layers of mixed-media. Known for her bold use of color, fusing new practices of editing and photographic techniques her work avails a nostalgic twist on the art forms of the unconventional avant-garde. An ode to the countercultures of the 1960s and 1970s, a free spirit of imagination manifests through her work as she produces modern psychedelic dreamscapes.
Olivia honed her aesthetic while studying Creative Direction at the University of the Arts London. Her art has been exhibited in museums and galleries in the US, Europe, and UK including The Royal Academy of Arts in London. She is a recipient of the Pollock-Krasner grant and was selected by the Otis College of Art & Design to have a billboard of her work on display in Los Angeles celebrating the city. Currently, Olivia’s work is featured in art books available at Hauser & Wirth, the Los Angeles Center of Photography & the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco.
Before studying creative direction, Olivia achieved a BA in Fashion Merchandising. With her affinity for the expression of one’s self through fashion, she joined forces with her designer mother and started a handmade, eco-friendly fashion and home decor line featuring her colorful art as the prints in 2015.
Using her artistic edge, Olivia has worked across the creative industries creating album art, music videos, video art, and live visual projections for her clients. She is currently based in Grass Valley, California. She spends her time nurturing her imagination and expanding her art forms through travel and art residencies.
